Since my last few posts about the printing of Hackronyms and settling the rules more, the game has gone through a decent amount of polishing. No longer is the “Break” action card and in its place is “Replace.” Replace swaps a card on the table with a card in your hand–thus making all of the action cards useful in both an offensive and defensive manner.
Aside from this, point tokens have been removed from the game and been replaced with the actual cards placed face down on the table–no more fiddly bits to deal with. In terms of tie-breaking, three acronym cards are now chosen from the cards available (or the whole deck if the deck has run out) to become a sudden death moment for tied players. If one starts a sentence, they have to complete it in 15 seconds. If they lose, they’re out. It creates for a pretty intense moment and great way of finishing the game.
Oh yeah, and the original reason for this post, I got some new cards printed. These photos were taken from inside my hotel in Seattle. Notice the little helper icons in the bottom right corner?
Things are rolling along. I’m quite excited!
